After Selling Sunset Season 7, Heather Rae El Moussa made her exit from the show. But why did she leave? Here’s all you need to know about her exit after 7 seasons and whether she could be back in the future.
Why did Heather leave Selling Sunset?
Heather was on maternity leave during the filming of Selling Sunset Season 7. She returned for a bit but was mostly absent throughout Season 7.
On November 3, 2023, the premiere day of Season 7, the 36-year-old shared via Instagram:
“Everything happens how it’s meant to ?….. And we all have a plan. It’s bittersweet to not be a part of SS anymore. But I do know that good or bad I wouldn’t change the experiences I had.”
Being a mother now, she confirmed her exit from the series. Before that, she also reacted to being left out of the Season 7 poster on Instagram. She wrote:
“Looks like I got pushed in the water… its a good thing I can swim! Congrats to my girls on S7! ? You may see me in a few episodes….. ??♀️”
Having started a new reality show “The Flipping El Moussas” with husband Tarek El Moussa on HGTV, it’ll be interesting to see if she comes back in future seasons of Selling Sunset.
Will Heather return to Selling Sunset?
Heather Rae El Moussa’s return in Selling Sunset season 8 and beyond isn’t confirmed. Even though she has shown interest in coming back, we may not get to see her in Season 8.
The likes of Chrishell Stause, Nicole Young, Amanza Smith, Mary Fitzgerald, Chelsea Lazkani, Emma Hernan, Jason Oppenheim, and Brett Oppenheim are all expected to return if Selling Sunset Season 8 happens. But since Heather wrote “It’s bittersweet to not be a part of SS anymore,” we may not see her in future seasons. Her fans could still keep their fingers crossed!
