According to insider DanielRPK, who also reported about Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards casting, Anya Taylor-Joy is in talks to join Fantastic Four as a villain.
But Fantastic Four’s entire casting process has made us learn that until things get officially announced, we need to take scoops with a grain of salt. However, if the report is accurate, then this would be Anya Taylor-Joy’s second Marvel character after she played Magik in 2020’s The New Mutants.
While the character she is being eyed for hasn’t been revealed yet, it’s presumed that she could be playing a certain silver woman surfing on a spaceboard!
Is the new Silver Surfer played by Anya Taylor-Joy?
After rumors of a female version of Silver Surfer being in play, many believe that Anya Taylor-Joy’s mystery role could be exactly that. But her character is not confirmed yet.
Since Galactus is also said to be in play, his herald is likely to join the film too. But whether it turns out to be a male or female remains to be seen. The recent Silver Surfer rumor came from another insider Jeff Sneider, who said “And yes you can expect to see a female Silver Surfer.”
Anya Taylor-Joy could prove to be a great choice as a female Silver Surfer, or a different version such as Juno is entering the mix. Besides, the only other villain that is rumored to appear in Fantastic Four briefly is Doctor Doom.
