A Girl & Her Guard Dog is based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hatsuharu. It tells the story of Isaku Senagaki, a high school student who has no friends because she is the granddaughter of a high-ranking yakuza boss. Wanting to make friends and even find love, Isaku enrolls at a school long away from her hometown. Things take an unexpected turn when yakuza member Keiya Utō begins attending the same school to keep her safe.
