With the Madame Web trailer hitting the internet, fans wish to find out who the Spider-Man in the black and red suit is. Is he Miles Morales or Peter Parker from the future? Here’s all you need to know.
Who is the Spider-Man character in Madame Web?
The black and red suit Spider-Man in Madame Web is Ezekiel Sims, a Spider-Man villain from the comics played by Tahar Rahim.
In the books, he gets his abilities similar to how Peter Parker got his Web-Slinging powers. But instead of helping others, he used his powers to scale up his business empire. However, his origin in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is shrouded with mystery.
The first trailer of Madame Web teases how his powers allow him to look into the future, where three different Spider-Women become a potential threat to his existence. So, to prevent that future from happening, he appears to be going after them before they get their abilities.
Is Peter Parker or Miles Morales in Madame Web?
While Miles Morales definitely doesn’t appear in Madame Web, Peter Parker isn’t confirmed to appear either as the film seemingly takes place before his birth.
As mentioned above, the man in the red-black Spidey suit is Ezekiel Sims, and not Miles Morales or Peter Parker. The synopsis of Madame Web suggests that it takes place in a new universe, where neither Miles Morales nor Peter Parker exist yet, and Adam Scott’s character plays a key supporting role.
As for whether a real Spider-Man will appear, be it Peter Parker or Miles Morales, nothing has been confirmed. However, you can surely expect to see a number of Easter eggs tucked away to encourage discussion.
