2025 will prove to be a huge year for both Marvel and DC as the two superhero houses will launch several movies and TV shows after a minor break in 2024. Here’s a list of DC and Marvel projects coming out across 2025, after all the delays.
Marvel Movies and TV Shows coming out in 2025
Disney/Marvel Studios and Sony will release the following movies from Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) respectively in 2025:
Marvel movies releasing in 2025
- Captain America: Brave New World (MCU) – February 14, 2025
- Fantastic Four (MCU) – May 2, 2025
- Thunderbolts (MCU) – July 25, 2025
- Blade (MCU) – November 7, 2025
- Rumored SSU movie: Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse – TBA
Sony’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been pushed indefinitely. While Sony might target to release it in 2025, it’s possible for the movie to be pushed to 2026 as well.
MCU shows releasing in 2025
Marvel is set to release the following shows in 2025 on Disney+:
- Rumored series: Daredevil: Born Again (Release: TBA)
- Rumored series: Ironheart (Release: TBA)
- Rumored series: Wonder Man (Release: TBA)
The aforementioned shows don’t have release dates yet. But as per their production status, they could be released in 2025.
DC Movies and TV Shows coming out in 2025
DC movies releasing in 2025
The following animated and live-action DC movies will arrive in 2025:
- Superman: Legacy – July 11, 2025
- The Batman II – October 3, 2025
- Rumored movie: Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 2 (in late 2024 or Early 2025)
- Rumored movie: Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 3 (likely in 2025)
It’s quite possible that the Tomorrowverse’s supposed final two movies will arrive in 2025. Whether Part 2 arrives in 2024 or 2025 remains to be seen. But Part 3 should certainly be slated for 2025.
DC TV shows releasing in 2025
The following live-action and animated DC TV shows are confirmed to release in 2025:
- Honorable mention – The Sandman’s More Episodes and Stories (possibly in 2025)
- Rumored series: My Adventures with Superman Season 2 (late 2024 or in 2025)
- Rumored series: Harley Quinn Season 5 (late 2024 or in 2025)
It’s quite likely that both My Adventures with Superman and Harley Quinn will launch their new seasons in 2025 due to the delay caused by SAG-AFTRA and WGA. Whether one of James Gunn’s pre-announced shows, such as Waller, gets a 2025 release window also remains to be seen.
