Avengers: The Kang Dynasty: Why Is ‘Jeff Loveness Was Removed’ Trending?

Jeff Loveness was hired to write Avengers: The Kang Dynasty after setting it up with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. But since then, he was rumored to be removed from Avengers 5, with searches for “Jeff Loveness was removed” beginning to trend. Is he still working on it? Here’s all you need to know about The Kang Dynasty’s current development status.

As per the “MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios” book co-writer Joanna Robinson, Jeff Loveness has reportedly been removed from the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty project as Marvel isn’t moving forward with Kang.

Speaking on The Ringer’s House of R podcast, co-writer of the new Marvel book, “MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios,” Joanna Robinson claimed that Jeff Loveness is no longerworking on Avengers 5. She said:

“I heard from someone recently…the screenwriter Jeff Loveness, who wrote Quantumania, was supposed to write The Kang Dynasty…anyway, it’s confirmed.”

She continued:

I had it confirmed to me he’s no longer working for Marvel. I asked the person why, and they said the reason why is he was all wrapped up in this Kang storyline and they are likely going to be moving away from that.”

This is the reason why Loveness’ reported exit from Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has been trending across the internet. However, this update doesn’t come from any official Marvel source, so it needs to be taken with a grain of salt for now.

Is Jeff Loveness still writing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty?

Both industry insider Jeff Sneider and the MCU book writer Joanna Robinson have stated that the Quantumania writer, Jeff Loveness, isn’t attached to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty anymore.

Sneider spoke about Loveness’ removal on the “Hot Mic Podcast” podcast while the WGA strike was on. It was initially assumed that the writer was removed because of the way Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania performed at the box office.

But, as mentioned above, Sneider’s scoop has now been followed by Joanna Robinson, who states that Loveness was removed because Marvel wants to leave Kang behind. This also comes after Variety’s article against Marvel which stated that Marvel has already talked about replacing Kang with Doctor Doom.

While all this could turn out to be true, it’s important to note that none of the above sources are officially linked with Marvel. A verdict from Marvel about Avengers 5 is yet to arrive, so we need to treat it all as a rumored possibility until it’s officially confirmed.
