Jujutsu Kaisen: Who is Uraume?
Uraume, also known as the Frozen Star, is a curse user from 1000 years ago. They are Sukuna’s subordinate, which is why they called them Lord Sukuna in the episode. They also seem to be very loyal to Sukuna, and they are the only subordinate of Sukuna that we know of so far.
According to the Jujutsu Kaisen official fan book, Uraume has been with Sukuna since 1000 years ago. They are a cook with excellent talent when it comes to cooking people since Sukuna eats humans.
While the anime has shown Uraume since the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc in season 1, we only see more of them starting in the Shibuya Incident arc of season 2. We also only find out in season 2 episode 16 (episode 40 overall) that they are connected to Sukuna. In the meantime before that, they were part of Kenjaku and the other cursed spirits’ group.
How strong is Uraume?
Uraume proves to be a powerful sorcerer considering that they have been around for at least a thousand years. They possess great cursed energy and appear to be very skilled in controlling and manipulating it. Uraume is also capable of doing the Reverse Cursed Technique, which is not an easy feat among sorcerers.
Uraume’s innate cursed technique is Ice Formation, which allows them to manipulate and create ice.
Is Uraume a girl or a boy?
There is no known information about Uraume’s gender. The Jujutsu Kaisen official fan book refers to Uraume with they/them pronouns.
