It has been nearly two years since Decoupled Season 1 hit Netflix. Since then, viewers of the R. Madhavan-Surveen Chawla Indian comedy-drama series have been wondering whether or not the show is over or if it will get a new season.
Here’s all the Decoupled Season 2 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there a Decoupled Season 2 release date?
There is no Decoupled Season 2 release date as of this writing. This is because Netflix has not yet renewed Decoupled for a second season or canceled the series.
Netflix has not only not yet renewed Decoupled for a second season, but they have also yet to reveal whether or not the series has been canceled. Netflix usually decides the fate of their shows in a month or two depending on their success or failure. As such, it is surprising that there is little to no information regarding Decoupled’s renewal or cancelation status. Decoupled had received mixed reviews from critics, although R. Madhavan and Surveen Chawla’s performances were praised.
What is even more shocking is that Decoupled Season 1, within three days of release became the leading Indian series on the platform for a week. This should have been an indicator for the streamer to decide upon the renewal or cancelation of the series.
There is the likely possibility that Netflix’s Decoupled is on a long break and we will likely not hear anything about it anytime soon. Thus, due to very little to no information on Decoupled Season 2, it is quite impossible to predict whether it will be happening anytime soon or at all.
Decoupled’s cast includes R. Madhavan, Surveen Chawla, Arista Mehta, Atul Kumar, Aseem Hattangadi, Mir Asfar Ali, and Dilnaz Irani.
