Jujutsu Kaisen: Who is Ui Ui?
Ui Ui is the younger brother of Mei Mei.
Mei Mei is a grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer who is not necessarily affiliated with Jujutsu High since she works independently. She also only does jobs in exchange for money. She was a student of Jujutsu High around the same time Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri were, but she was older.
Ui Ui’s age is unknown, but he is clearly a young kid. He is very devoted and dedicated to his older sister. He worships her to the point that he would be willing to die for her. Ui Ui also does not like anyone who disrespects or bothers Mei Mei. During the Shibuya Incident arc, he did not get along with Yuji Itadori very well.
Ui Ui’s abilities and Cursed Technique
Ui Ui is a talented sorcerer despite being too young to be a professional jujutsu sorcerer. He proves himself to be useful, as seen in the battle at the Shibuya Incident arc. As Mei Mei’s brother, he possesses a high amount of cursed energy.
Ui Ui is one of the sorcerers in the series with a Binding Vow between him and another person. He has a Binding Vow with Mei Mei, in which he limits the output of his cursed energy until Mei Mei allows him to use jujutsu. This Binding Vow is rooted in Ui Ui’s urge to please his older sister.
Additionally, he is also capable of doing a New Shadow Style: Simple Domain. He used this in their fight with the Smallpox Diety after it released its domain.
Information about Ui Ui’s innate cursed technique remains unknown. What we know so far is Mei Mei mentioned that they were able to escape from a fight by moving from Japan to Malaysia. Some fan theories say that Ui Ui’s technique might have something to do with teleportation.
