It was reported in October 2023 that a sequel to Samaritan is in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Bragi F. Schut, the screenwriter of the first film, will pen the second film as well. Sylvester Stallone, who starred in the first film and produced it through his Balboa Productions, is attached to the upcoming project in the aforementioned capacities. The deal for him to star in the film was reportedly made before the actors’ strike. It is unknown whether Julius Avery is returning to direct the film.
