What is the Hachinosu island in One Piece? The infamous island in the New World is known for many things, mainly that it is a “Pirate Paradise.” Here is a guide on everything we know so far about Hachinosu, the Pirate Island.
One Piece: What is Hachinosu?
Hachinosu is an island in the New World known as a “Pirate Paradise.”
It has a skull-shaped structure in it. The island is known for a couple of things, such as being the place where the Rocks Pirates were created. It is also where the Davy Back Fight, the traditional pirate game, came from. The Davy Back Fight came from pirates looking for the best sailors for their crew, so they fought over it.
At one point after the God Valley Incident, Wang Zhi (also known as Ochoku) became the island’s ruler. Blackbeard eventually defeated him with some help from Koby, resulting in Blackbeard becoming the new ruler of the island. This happened during the Rocky Port Incident during the time skip. Trafalgar Law was responsible for this incident, leading him to become a Warlord of the Sea.
At present, Blackbeard wants Hachinosu to become a nation that is allied with the World Government under the name Blackbeard Kingdom.
The Blackbeard Pirates brought Koby to the island as a hostage in exchange for the World Government’s recognition. Eventually, Koby managed to escape with Perona’s help. The Marines arrive, including Garp. Following the attack on the island, Garp and Koby greatly damaged the island and the skull structure.
What happened to Gecko Moria in Hachinosu?
Gecko Moria went to Hachinosu to rescue Absalom, who went there for a story. At the same time, the Blackbeard Pirates were hunting Devil Fruit users. However, Moria eventually found out that Absalom died and his Devil Fruit was then passed to Shiryu. Blackbeard invited Moria to join his crew, but Moria declined. He was then imprisoned.
