What is the MCU Phase 5 timeline?
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Release Date: February 17, 2023)
The third Ant-Man movie began Phase 5 and takes place sometime in MCU’s 2026 (two or three years after Avengers: Endgame).
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (Release Date: May 5, 2023)
As per Marvel’s official timeline, Guardians Vol. 3 takes place after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in 2026.
Secret Invasion (Release Date: June 21, 2023)
The Nick Fury-centric project is the latest in MCU’s timeline, following the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, set almost three years after the Endgame battle in 2026.
Loki Season 2 (Release Date: October 5, 2023)
Loki season 2 continues right after the first season, which was set after Endgame’s time heist. Technically, it occurs adjacent to all the MCU projects, allowing the multiverse to exist.
The Marvels (Release Date: November 10, 2023)
The events of Secret Invasion lead us into The Marvels. Hence, it could take place in late 2026 or early 2027, uniting Nick Fury with Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan.
What If…? Season 2 (Release Date: December 25, 2023)
The story of What If…? only became possible because of Loki. So, it’s safe to say that What If…? season 2 is likely to take place post-Loki season 2.
Echo (Release Date: January 10 2024)
Echo will pick up a while after the events of Hawkeye and lead us into Daredevil: Born Again. Its release date and timeline year will soon be revealed.
Deadpool 3 (Release Date: July 26, 2024)
The events of Deadpool 3 will take place post-Loki season 2, somewhere in the Multiverse. For now, the film is confirmed to hold its release date.
Captain America: New World Order (Release Date: February 14, 2024)
Thaddeus Ross’ confirmed presidency suggests that Captain America 4 will happen after Secret Invasion and possibly The Marvels in 2027.
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries (Release Date: TBA)
Agatha’s solo series will happen after Doctor Strange 2. Whether it happens before other Phase 5 projects remains to be seen.
Thunderbolts (Release Date: December 20, 2024)
The events of Captain America 4 will lead us into Thunderbolts. Hence, it could take place in 2027.
Blade (Release Date: November 7, 2025)
Blade’s events will occur post-Eternals. Since it will end Phase 5, it might also take place in 2027.
Honorable Mention – Ironheart (Release Date: TBA)
