Loki Season 2 has just premiered but fans are already curious about whether Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief will get another run on streaming television or not.
Here’s all the Loki Season 3 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there a Loki Season 3 release date?
Loki Season 3 does not have an official release date as it is yet to be renewed.
However, given that Loki is one of Marvel Studios’ most successful streaming shows, it is likely that a third season could happen and could be released between Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. The potential third season could even act as a bridge between the events of the two Avengers movies.
On the other hand, a third season for Loki has an equal chance of not happening. This is because Kevin Wright, an executive producer for the show revealed in an interview with Deadline that the first two seasons of Loki were the whole story and that the second season was the concluding chapter of that story. He then added by saying that if new seasons came out then they would tell new stories.
So, from part of his statements, it can be concluded that Marvel might see how Loki Season 2 performs before they pick up the show for a third season.
Loki’s cast includes Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, and Ke Huy Quan, among other cast members.
Where is Loki Season 3 coming out?
Loki Season 3 isn’t confirmed to release on Disney Plus as of this writing.
The official synopsis for Loki reads:
“After stealing the Tesseract during the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” an alternate version of Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. They give Loki a choice: face being erased from existence due to being a “time-variant” or help fix the timeline and stop a greater threat.”
