When Will Saw X Leave Movie Theaters & Cinemas?

Hitting the theaters on September 29, 2023, Saw X is doing well for itself at the box office. However, many fans wish to know when the movie will leave theaters and cinemas. Should they plan to watch it in the theaters or wait for it to arrive on digital and streaming? Here’s all the information you need for Saw X’s theatrical run.

When will Saw X stop being shown in movie theaters?

Saw X is expected to play in theaters at least until November 16, 2023.

At the time of writing, Lionsgate has not provided any official information on when Saw X will leave movie theaters. However, the studio’s other smaller budget films have had a theatrical window of at least 49 days. Lionsgate’s 2023 releases “Plane” and “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” followed the same theatrical pattern. Hence, Saw X is also expected to follow it.

While John Wick: Chapter 4 stayed in theaters for 84 days, it’s worth noting that Lionsgate’s Jesus Revolution played in cinemas for 63 days. The latter was another smaller budget release that opened with $15 million at the domestic box office and made a total of $52 million in the same market. (via Box Office Mojo)

Considering that Saw X has also reportedly opened with $18 million, it could follow the 63-day theatrical pattern and stay in theaters until November 30, 2023. However, if you want to watch the film in theaters, making plans to do so in October is our recommendation.

As for its digital release, Saw X is expected to become available to rent on iTunes, Amazon, and other online portals in early November. The streaming release window will be much longer as Lionsgate usually waits for about six months before streaming its films on Starz. Hence, Saw X’s is expected to begin streaming in late March 2024 in the US.
