The second installment in this revival series is slated to contain 13 episodes, five less than the first season, which spanned 18 episodes. While nine of the 13 episodes have been confirmed, the remaining four chapters remain unproduced. NBC has yet to release the final details about the final four episodes but remains focused on ending the follow-up season on a high.
The series focuses on Dr. Ben Song, who follows in the footsteps of Dr. Sam Beckett as the new lead of the Quantum Leap project. Beckett’s disappearance into the Quantum Leap accelerator prompts Song to upload a new program code into the machine. However, like Beckett, Song gets stuck in the loop of time, living off as different people in the past. He starts altering history in an attempt to get back to the present. However, his quest to return to his normal life is not going to be as simple as it seems.
The cast of Quantum Leap includes Raymond Lee and Caitlin Bassett, who portray Dr. Ben Song and Addison Augustine, respectively. The additional cast features Mason Alexander Park, Nanrisa Lee, Ernie Hudson, Eliza Taylor, and Peter Gadiot, among others.
