Owing to the immense success and popularity of the first two films, viewers are excitedly anticipating the release date of Paddington 3 (AKA Paddington in Peru). The third film follows Paddington as he visits his Aunty Lucy, accompanied by the Brown Family. Chaos ensues after they are pulled into a mysterious incident through the Amazon rainforest up to the Peru mountains.

Is there a Paddington 3 release date?
There’s finally some good news for the fans of the Paddington franchise. The third film was in development in early 2021 and received its final title – Paddington in Peru – in June 2022. As per The Digital Fix, the film was supposed to be released in early 2024, but it was delayed due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. But fans can rest assured that they will be getting Paddington 3 sometime in 2024.
The most recent update about Paddington 3 was reported by Screen Daily in August 2023. It stated that Rachel Zegler, who joined the cast in June 2023, won’t be available to film for Paddington 3 as she is one of the members of the SAG-AFTRA strikes. Apparently filming has almost finished with the available cast.
In September 2023, a post on X (formerly Twitter) by scooper Daniel Richtman confirmed that the Paddington 3 was wrapping filming in two weeks and Rachel Zegler’s role was being recast due to the ongoing strikes. Considering that filming is almost done, viewers can expect the threequel to be released in early to mid 2024. However, if previous release patterns at to be followed, it can also be released at the end of next year. Fans will have to wait for more official updates but can rejoice in the fact that Paddington 3 is coming in 2024.
