After the success of its first season, Uncoupled Season 2’s release date is highly anticipated amongst viewers. Now in his 40s as a single gay man, he realizes that the dating world has changed a lot.
Here’s all the Uncoupled Season 2 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there an Uncoupled Season 2 release date?
There’s some good news for fans of the series. Netflix pulled the plug on the show in January 2023 as it failed to make a mark with the audience after staying in power for a week. The following month, however, Variety reported that the romantic comedy has now been picked up by Showtime for Season 2. However, as of now, there has been no official release date for the same.
The first season of the series premiered in July 2022, and since then fans have been yearning to see their favorite show and TV characters for a second time. However, looks like it will take some time before that happens. While promoting another show on The View, lead star Neil Patrick Harris revealed that filming was delayed because of the writers’ strike.
Harris said, “Very exciting, we were going to start filming it in the beginning of July but the writers strike is happening. So, everything is sort of on pause — go writers, writers strong. So we’re just going to wait until that plays itself out.” However, it looks like the team can finally resume filming, and there is some respite for fans who have eagerly awaited Season 2.
On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Variety reported that the board of the WGA West and council of the WGA East voted unanimously on Tuesday to lift the strike order on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. The ratification vote will be held from October 2 to October 9, 2023, but meanwhile, the writers can return to work.
If all goes smoothly, filming can presumably begin in late 2023 and the series can finally be released by late 2024. This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.
The cast of the series includes Neil Patrick Harris, Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Tuc Watkins, Emerson Brooks, and Marcia Gay Harden, among others. Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman serve as the series creators.
