With the horror movie fever taking over Hollywood, the Saw X box office numbers will interest many ardent fans of the franchise. Is it predicted to flop or succeed? Will the film be another 2023 bomb or a big winner? Here’s all you need to know about Saw 10’s box office analysis.
Saw X Box Office Results: Is it projected to flop?
Saw X is projected to succeed because of its reported lower budget.
As per Box Office Pro, Saw X is projected to earn somewhere between $10-15 million on its opening weekend domestically. While this number may be low for most movies, it could work very well for Saw X. After all, it will allow the domestic total to range between $22-35 million by the end of its box office run, and that could be enough to make a profit after it gets added to the international total.
The Saw movies usually have a budget of around $10-11 million, with 2010’s Saw 3D and 2021’s Spiral having $17 million and $20 million production budgets, respectively. So, it’s likely for Saw X to have a similar budget that ranges between $10-20. Hence, Saw X is highly likely to turn in a profit.
Its biggest challenge is direct competition with The Creator and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie on September 29, 2023. After that, it will also go up against The Exorcist: Believer on October 6, 2023. However, since horror movies have performed well throughout 2023, Saw X could still be a success.
Overall, the Saw franchise has exceeded $1 billion with its previous nine movies, with an average of over $113 million worldwide box office totals per film. While Saw X may not reach that number globally, its gore factor could still drive fan interest and ensure a successful outing for Lionsgate.
