Fans of Archive 81 have been wondering whether or not the supernatural horror show had a second season in the works ever since the first season aired on January 14, 2022.

Netflix canceled Archive 81 as they were likely dissatisfied with the viewership numbers in the third week after the series had launched on the streaming service. In the first week, the show was watched for over 22,220,000 hours, the second week saw a spike in hours watched as it went from 22,220,000 to 70,980,000. Unfortunately, there was a steep decline in the hours watched in the third week as the hours watched went down to 36,270,000.
Despite this, the last episode of Archive 81 did tease a second season and its storyline. This is shown by how Dan found himself trapped in the year 1994 after having tried to stop Samuel Spare. If there was a second season, it would see Dan try to find a way back to the present.
