Is there a Jury Duty Season 2 release date?
If the word of the executive producers is something to go by, fans can be rest assured that they will be seeing a second season of the series, albeit, it might take some time. Moreover, there hasn’t been an announcement of an official release date for Season 2, so viewers will only have to take in what the producers have said. We’ve got you covered!
In an exclusive interview with Variety, executive producers David Bernad and Todd Schulman responded to how they would build a second season. Bernad agreed that they would consider a different setting but would keep the premise of the show alive – which is an individual faced with a trial. He expressed taking the “same theme and premise and apply it to other areas outside of a jury trial.”
Meanwhile, Schulman said that the core concept of a good person being celebrated can be potentially replicated in other worlds. He didn’t negate the possibilities of a second season when he said, ” I do think there are opportunities, but we haven’t gotten too deep into that yet.” These are clear hints of a Season 2, but fans will have to wait as it’s still in the ideation stage.
Fellow executive producer David Hatton also expressed a desire for a second season with possible tweaks in an interview with Deadline. Calling it a “wonderful proof of concept,” he assured that they were picking up some things at the moment and exploring the many worlds and iterations of jury duty. Although an official renewal is yet to be confirmed, fans can definitely expect a second season in some form or another.
Considering it is still in the ideation stage, it will definitely take some time for the series to return. We are looking at mid to late 2024 if everything goes as per plan. This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.
