It Chapter Three does not have a release date. Moreover, it will most definitely not happen.
This is because the story of the Losers Club’s fight against the dreaded Pennywise concluded in It Chapter Two itself. Moreover, the recent film adaptations of Stephen King’s famous novel were envisioned as a two-part story by the creators.
However, fans of the supernatural horror franchise and Pennywise need not be disappointed as they will get to see a prequel series, Welcome to Derry, developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs. It will be set before the events of Andy Muschietti’s It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). Moreover, this series will depict the origins of Pennywise the Dancing Clown and show how he came to terrify the residents of Derry, in particular children. This upcoming series will hit the Max streaming service in 2024.
