But after opposition from the fans and criticism from the lead star Shemar Moore, the series was greenlit for a shortened seventh and final installment.
The series was originally on CBS’ fall schedule, but it was taken out due to the ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes. If the strikes continue, the impending uncertainty will leave the seventh season’s premiere date unclear. For now, viewers can expect it sometime in early-mid 2024.
