Moana Season 1 release date is highly anticipated by the viewers, considering the 2016 Disney movie of the same name has a huge fan base. It is an upcoming television series produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and is a sequel to the movie Moana. The movie saw Moana, daughter of Motunui’s chief, Tui, and her pet rooster Heihei collaborating with the demigod Maui on a mission to save the people of Motunui, which is impacted by a terrible curse.

Is there a Moana Season 1 release date?
There’s some good news for the Moana fans. Moana Season 1 is set to premiere in 2024 but there has been no official release date for the same as of yet. The series is in the works, with Disney announcing that it will take off from where the movie had left off. This move will also allow production to test waters for more seasons if the first is successful.
The movie saw Moana, her pet rooster Heihei and demi God Maui teaming up and embark on an adventure to the Pacific in an effort to defeat fire god Te Kā. They eventually restored the ocean from the clenches of the fire god and returned it to Te Fiti, the goddess of nature. While an official plotline is still kept under wraps, the confirmation that the series will continue from where the movie had left off draws several narrative and storylines which look exciting.
As of now, there has been no other information apart from the one that the series will premiere in 2024. In the film, Moana’s father spoke about how one day she would emerge as his successor, so the series would document that journey. Or it can even give a glimpse of her father’s life as the Chief. There are many possibilities, but only time will tell what the series will be about.
Auli’i Cravalho lent voice to Moana in the 2016 film and Dwayne Johnson to Maui. Other voice cast members included Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, Jermaine Clement, Nicolle Scherzinger and Alan Tudyk. Who all will return to the series is still not confirmed. David G. Derrick Jr will serve as the series director.
