Ever since Elemental came out in theaters, fans have been wondering whether or not the film would get a sequel and if they would see more of Ember Lumen and Wade Ripple’s romance.

At the time of writing, Elemental 2 does not have a release date as it is not yet in development.
Elemental 2 will only get greenlit if Pixar decides that the film has become successful enough at the box office to warrant a sequel. It is likely that Pixar is also waiting to see how Elemental will perform on Disney Plus as time passes in order to determine whether or not a sequel should be made.
However, Elemental 2 has been recognized as a sleeper hit by box office analysts in recent months ever since the film came out in theaters on June 16, 2023. This could give fans who loved Elemental hope that a sequel would eventually get made.
Furthermore, at the time of writing, Elemental had a Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 74% and an audience score of 96% which indicates that a lot of people liked the film and that Pixar would eventually be convinced to make a sequel. Additionally, Elemental opened as the most-watched premiere on Disney Plus of 2023 up to that point, which is another good sign for people hoping that a sequel will be made later down the road.
