Superhero fans want to know more about the Venom 3 villain. A recently removed official video showed Topher Grace’s Venom fighting Tom Hardy’s Venom, and now the internet wants to know more.
Will Topher Grace’s Venom variant be in Venom 3?
Topher Grace’s Venom variant has not been confirmed to appear in Venom 3, but the character was referenced in a recent Sony social media video, sparking fan discussion.
While Sony deleted the video, user @SpiderMan_Newz has successfully uploaded it for everyone to watch:
Fans have been speculating about whether or not Grace would reprise his role of Eddie Brock/Venom from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 alongside Tom Hardy’s version of Eddie and Venom in Venom 3, which is set to hit theaters on July 12, 2024.
At the time of writing, Topher Grace’s Venom is not confirmed to appear in Tom Hardy’s Venom 3. However, Grace could likely appear as Venom in the film, as Tom Hardy teased the possibility of a multiverse crossover akin to a Spider-Verse, which he dubbed “Venom-verse” in an interview on ET Canada while promoting Venom: Let There Be Carnage and talking about where the character’s story could be taken in Venom 3:
“There’s a Venom-Verse, you know, there’s a Spider-Verse, there’s multiverses, there’s all kinds of canon and lore and mythology to explore both laterally and forward in time. I think with the right people and the right planning, and feedback from the audience, and understanding it’s about making the right choices at the right time… Even with foresight of understanding where things may go already or they wish to go, it’s a combination of all those in the alchemy of what it will be.”
Will Topher Grace’s Venom fight Tom Hardy’s Venom?
At the time of publishing, Topher Grace’s Venom is not confirmed to be in Venom 3, so it’s not known whether or not he will be fighting Tom Hard’s Venom.
However, since Tom Hardy teased a possible multiversal story for the film, Topher Grace’s Venom could appear in Venom 3 and thus fight Hardy’s version of the character since Grace’s version of Eddie Brock/Venom is a villain unlike Hardy’s Venom, who is a hero/antihero.
