Prime Video took 7 months to renew the series for its second season. But because of its high viewership numbers, a prequel series was also put under development along with it. At the moment of writing, neither Season 2 nor the prequel series has begun filming. But, Season 2 is expected to start its production post-strikes. So, we could expect it to arrive sometime in 2025.

The series is based on James Carr’s book series of the same name, which consists of 5 novels. So, there is plenty of source material to even go beyond Season 2. But in the second season, Constance Wu may return as the reporter Katie Buranek alongside Chris Pratt’s James Reece. Carr’s sequel novel True Believer introduces Raife Hastings to play a crucial role. So, we should expect a familiar actor to be cast for the role.
