After the cliffhanger ending in 2022, the Moon Knight Season 2 release date has always been on the minds of many MCU fans. It introduced us to Marc Spector, a mercenary with a split personality disorder, who became an avatar of the Egyptian Moon God Khonshu and turned into the superhero Moon Knight. But will he and his other personalities return in Season 2?

Is there a Moon Knight Season 2 release date?
Moon Knight Season 2 has no official release date yet, but it will likely be announced soon.
Currently, Moon Knight has not been officially renewed for season 2. It was initially presumed to be a miniseries. But since its arrival in 2022, the sequel season has been teased twice. First, Oscar Isaac and director Mohammed Diab teased it through a TikTok video.
Then later, Isaac spoke with Comicbook.com about Season 2 in October 2022. He said:
“There have been some specific conversations. They were pleasant. The spilling of the details it that there’s no details. We don’t know [if there will be a second season], but we’re talking about it.”
Since then, there haven’t been any updates on the second season. But with the series ending on a cliffhanger after introducing Marc Spector’s third personality, Jake Lockley, the show will likely be renewed. There are multiple other unanswered mysteries, and Moon Knight isn’t confirmed to resolve them in any other MCU project. So, their answers have to come from another season of Moon Knight.
Ideally, it should arrive in 2026 before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. That way, it could set up the comic-accurate battle between Moon Knight and Kang in Avengers 5. But with so many MCU Disney Plus shows already in development, season 2 could also be slotted sometime in 2027, if not 2026. This date is an estimation based on the information we have so far.
Where is Moon Knight Season 2 coming out?
Moon Knight Season 2 is expected to come out on Disney Plus if it gets renewed.
It will bring back Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector / Stephen Grant / Jake Lockley / Moon Knight in the lead. Others returning should be Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow and May Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly / Scarlet Scarab.
The official synopsis of Moon Knight reads:
“Mild-mannered Steven Grant has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with a mercenary.”
