After two parts of this remake, many people have been wondering about the Money Heist Korea Season 3 release date. With the original Spanish series ending after 5 seasons, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area gave fans a remake that mostly had the same twists and turns but was focused on Korean politics instead. It also showcased a scenario where the economies of North and South Korea had merged. But will there be a third part of the show?
Here’s all the Money Heist Korea Season 3 release date information we know so far and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there a Money Heist Korea Season 3 release date?
Money Heist Korea Season 3 does not have an official release date yet.
Netflix has not given Money Heist Korea Season 3 an official green light. But it hasn’t been canceled either. Part 2 of Joint Economic Area arrived on December 9, 2022, and ended the first heist, similar to how the original series did with its first two parts. But whether a Part 3 for the Korean remake gets renewed remains to be seen.
The viewership numbers for both parts of Joint Economic Area have been good. So, it’s only logical for the next one to be renewed. But there may be a reason why it hasn’t happened until now. This remake’s biggest complaint is that it is almost an exact replica of the original show. So, if Part 3 follows the same trajectory as the original, then most viewers would already know the twists and turns coming, and the viewership might be hampered in the long term.
Hence, Netflix may have either decided not to renew the show or is waiting for a story idea that takes the series in a different direction. Considering that the renewal status is currently unknown, it would be hard to predict when Money Heist Korea – Joint Economic Area Part 3 will arrive.
It stars Yoo Ji-tae as The Professor, Jeon Jong-seo as Tokyo, Lee Joo-bin as Yoon Mi-seon, Lim Ji-yeon, Seoul, Kim Ji-hoon as Denver, Yunjin Kim as Raquel Murillo, and Lee Hyun-woo as Rio, among others.
Where is Money Heist Korea Season 3 coming out?
If it gets renewed, season 3 will come out on Netflix.
The official synopsis of the series reads:
“Thieves overtake the mint of a unified Korea. With hostages trapped inside, the police must stop them — as well as the shadowy mastermind behind it all.”
