With the DCU starting in 2023, the fans highly anticipate James Gunn’s Creature Commandos release date. The animated series will be based on the DC Comics team of the same name and will consist of multiple monstrous characters led by Rick Flag Sr. But does it have a release date yet? When is it coming out?
Here’s all the Creature Commandos release date information we know so far and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there a Creature Commandos release date?
The Creature Commandos release date is predicted to arrive by early-mid 2024.
In January, James Gunn announced Creature Commandos as a part of his Gods and Monsters DCU slate and revealed that he had already written its script. Then in April, he confirmed that the R-Rated animated series will arrive in 2024.
But recently, on the Threads app, he also confirmed that the actors have already done the voice recording of the series. So, we could expect the series to arrive within the first half of 2024, considering that it isn’t affected by the ongoing Writers’ and Actors’ strikes.
This date is an estimation based on the information we have so far. ComingSoon will provide an update to this story once we receive official details.
The first season will have 7 episodes in total. Gunn also revealed that its characters will jump to the live-action space as the DCU grows bigger with other Gods and Monsters projects.
Creature Commandos will star Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Indira Varma as the Bride, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorous, Sean Gunn as both GI Robot and Weasel, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, and Steve Agee as John Economos.
