With season 7 currently going on, the Outlander season 8 release date is also highly anticipated. The series strongly features time travel as a nurse in World War II named Claire Beauchamp Randall mysteriously goes back in time to Scotland in 1743. She ends up meeting a dashing Highland warrior named Jamie Fraser, and their lives get intertwined beyond that.
Things have come far along and have become very intriguing in season 7, so it’s understandable why fans of the series are looking forward to season 8. But when is it coming out?

Outlander Season 8’s release date could arrive by 2025.
In January 2023, Outlander was renewed for its 8th and final season. At the moment of writing, STARZ has been airing season 7, which consists of 16 episodes divided into two halves. The first batch of 8 episodes started on June 16 and will continue till August 4, 2023. Then, the next batch is expected to follow in 2024.
So, Outlander season 8 will only arrive after that and could arrive in 2025. But for that to happen, the final season has to be shot as early in 2024 as possible. With WGA’s writers’ strike currently going on, there’s a chance that development of the final season might take more time than anticipated, and the release gets pushed to 2026. But the chances of that happening are much lower, so fans should expect to see the last season in 2025 itself.

In season 8, it’s safe to assume that the leading actors Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan will return as it brings “Claire and Jamie’s love story to an epic conclusion.”
