Nick Fury most likely calls Gravik at the end of Secret Invasion episode 5.
Fury phones Gravik earlier in the episode and agrees to hand over “The Harvest,” a collection of the Avengers’ DNA that can be used to make Super Skrulls with the powers of Captain Marvel and other superpowered beings.
It’s highly likely that Fury is simply phoning Gravik at the end of episode 5 to confirm that he has The Harvest and is prepared to meet.
However, it’s also possible that Nick Fury is contacting someone to help him with the final fight. With that said, it would undermine the times when he said that the fight was personal to him and that he didn’t want to call on the Avengers.
Will Nick Fury get help from Monica Rambeau (Photon) in Secret Invasion?
Nick Fury and Monica Rambeau are expected to team up in the upcoming The Marvels, so it’s possible that she will appear in Secret Invasion.
Will Monica Rambeau may appear in the final episode, I expect her to appear in a post-credits sequence, rather than as an ally for Fury in the final fight. I expect Fury to defeat Gravik without the help of others, though it is possible that Monica Rambeau will help deliver the final blow.
We won’t have to wait long to see if Fury does team up with Monica Rambeau as, at the time of writing, episode 6 is set to air in less than a week.
