Secret Invasion episode 4 has just dropped on Disney Plus, leaving the fans wondering about that shocking ending. What’s next for the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe series? Here’s the Secret Invasion episode 4 ending explained, so beware of spoilers.
Who died at the end of Secret Invasion episode 4?
Talos appears to be dead at the end of episode 4.
After their relationship went downhill, Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) and Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) collided in episode 4. Ultimately, it was Talos to end up on the losing side after being stabbed by Gravik, who also showcased his Super Skrull powers before reaching the former ally. Together with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Talos was attempting to save the President of the United States, attacked by the rebellious Skrulls during a presidential visit to Russia.
After the good guys saved the POTUS, Talos was forced to be carried to the car for assistance. The person who was helping him turned out to be Gravik in disguise. Unbothered by Fury’s shots, Gravik stabbed Talos before leaving him on the ground, apparently dead. The credits start rolling as Fury flees the scene to bring the unconscious POTUS to safety, leaving Talos behind.
Gravik revealed his new Groot powers
During the episode 4 ending battle, Gravik revealed that he has similar powers to Groot.
Not only does Gravik has healing powers thanks to the Extremis Virus, but he can also summon tree-like roots to incapacitate enemies.
Now armed with healing, Groot’s abilities, and the Skrull’s innate power to disguise themselves, Gravik has become a formidable opponent that Fury is going to struggle to fight against.
At the time of writing, there are still two episodes to go, which could mean Gravik becomes even more powerful.
