The Little Mermaid story follows a mermaid princess named Ariel who wishes to see the human world. Her fascination leads her to make a deal with the treacherous sea witch Ursula. She gives up her voice to gain human legs in order to impress the human Prince Eric.
The film stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, while the supporting cast involves Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, and Awkwafina as Scuttle.
