More and more movies are being delayed in 2023. The number of film release date delays affected by the WGA writers strike continues to increase. The strike began on May 2, 2023, and it doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon, or at least until writers get a significant compensation hike due to the ever-changing streaming landscape, among other things. There are several delayed movies in 2023, and many more seem to follow.
Currently, a deal is still far from being done. In the meantime, the strike is starting to impact the industry. Fans will have to wait longer than expected to watch their favorite movies and TV series. Shows like House of the Dragon, The Rings of Power, Stranger Things, and The Mandalorian are just a few that have been rescheduled due to the current situation.
