Oshi no Ko episode 9 Recap
Aqua brings MEM-cho to Miyako. She interviews her and guesses that she’s actually lying about her age. MEM-cho admits she’s 25 and explains her reasons. She has always dreamed of being an idol but her mother got sick, and she stopped going to school to work to help her family. Eventually, she was too old to go to idol auditions and stuck to streaming instead. Ruby and Kana arrive, overhearing MEM-cho’s story. They accept her into B Komachi.
With Love Now’s popularity, many girls at school are taking an interest in Aqua. Thanks to MEM-cho, B Komachi reaches 10,000 subscribers. She suggests they use the old B Komachi songs while waiting for the new songs to be ready. Kana is overwhelmed, and when Aqua checks on her, she acts cold towards him. Meanwhile, Aqua meets with Kaburagi for sushi. Kaburagi tells him that Ai probably fell in love when she was the theater company, Lala Lai. He then tells him he’s interested in the new B Komachi and offers them a slot in the Japan Idol Festival. MEM-cho says they need to decide on the group’s center, and she and Ruby get competitive over it. However, their singing skills are not as good as Kana’s.
