Tsubaki gets sad over Yamada not showing up. She remembers how she first met him and started liking him after seeing him play a game. She worries about how someday, Yamada will meet someone he likes. In the past, Yamada told Tsubaki about a girl who liked him but was bullied about it to the point that the girl transferred schools. He mentions that story led to him never being comfortable around girls.
Yamada tries to nurse Akane, but her illness gets worse, and he brings her to the hospital. Akane still thinks Yamada’s presence was a dream, and she gets surprised after waking up and seeing Yamada in her apartment. Yamada explains the situation, and Akane starts crying because of what he did. Akane talks about her breakup, reminding Yamada of the girl from before.
