Recently, during a press event, Peter Safran and James Gunn, the co-CEOs of DC Studios, shared some exciting updates on the progress of these projects. Furthermore, they reassured fans of their commitment to delivering high-quality content without rushing the process. List of every new DC Universe and Elseworlds series releasing in 2025 or later
- Peacemaker Season 2 (DCU) – Gunn revealed that the series is currently in its post-production stages alongside Superman. It is expected to premiere in August 2025.
- Lanterns (DCU) – Under the wing of showrunner Chris Mundy, the HBO series is currently in production. It is set to have a more “darker” tone.
- Starfire (DCU) – Starfire will bring to life the popular Teen Titans character. Brianne Droughard and Josie Campbell serve as executive producers.
- Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 – Amazon Prime Video announced Season 2 back then and it will likely arrive sometime in 2025, per executive producer, Matt Reeves’s past comments to Collider.
- My Adventures With Superman Season 3 – The third installment is currently in production and the release date remains unannounced.
- My Adventures With Green Lantern – DC Studios announced that an animated series titled My Adventures with Green Lantern is now in development. It will take place in the same timeline as Warner Bros. Animation’s My Adventures with Superman. Its creator, Jake Wyatt, will executive produce the series.
- Waller (DCU) – The Peacemaker spin-off is based on Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller character. Currently, the show is “struggling to land the right script”. The decision to prioritize John Cena’s series also lead to a delayed release.
- Paradise Lost (DCU) – Paradise Island Lost focuses on the origins of Amazonian society. It explores its magical protection and the founders’ complicated bonds. DC Studios is currently working on it.
- Creature Commandos Season 2 (DCU) – The series production is currently underway and the release date remains undisclosed.
- Booster Gold (DCU) – Gunn reveals that the development is “going strong.” It will be about a disgraced football star transforming into a celebrity superhero.
- Krypto Shorts (DCU) – The beloved dog Krypto will get a cool series of seasonal shorts. This will happen after the DCU officially kicks off with Superman.
- DC Super Powers (DCU) – DC Super Powers will focus on young versions of Lightning, Flash, Plastic Man, Aquagirl, Green Lantern, and Terra. They attend the Alliance School for Heroes.
- The Sandman Season 2 – Season 2 is expected to be released sometime in 2025.
- The Penguin Season 2 (Maybe) – It remains unclear whether another season will happen, given Safran’s disappointing update.
