A new Dune: Spice Wars trailer has been released, revealing the release date window for the 1.0 version of the tactical video game.
Dune: Spice Wars 1.0 is set to release at some point next month in September, 2023. The new trailer for the 4X real-time strategy game shows off the tactical gameplay that players can expect from the 1.0 version alongside narration that describes living in peace as “a privilege of the weak,” noting that “a new age of turmoil approaches.”

What is Dune: Spice Wars?
Developed by Shiro Games (Northgard) and published by Funcom, Spice Wars is a strategy game that blends real-time and 4X elements into something wholly original. Players can choose to take control of the Fremen, Atreides, Harkonnen, or Smugglers and do battle across Dune‘s iconic desert worlds.
Dune: Spice Wars launched in Early Access back on April 26, 2022. Funcom is also working on an open world survival game based on the franchise, titled Dune: Awakening. The publisher is the exclusive rights holder to Dune when it comes to games, and it seems to be betting big on a franchise that back in the popular consciousness.
