Dragon Ball: The Breakers will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 13 in Japan and on October 14 for the rest of the world. The Standard Edition of the game will only be available digitally and will come with the game itself and an in-game transphere and scouter accessory. This edition has not received a price point yet.
A Special Edition was revealed, which includes an in-game costume, victory pose, and vehicle skin, alongside the previously included transphere and scouter accessory. This version will cost $29.99, and is available physically and digitally. Bandai has said that details on digital preorders will be announced at a later date.
There is also a physical Limited Edition that includes everything from the Special Edition in addition to an in-game potara accessory, a steelbook case, various stickers, and a Cell Shell figure. This version is available exclusively through the Bandai Namco Store, and can be preordered now for $79.99.
In Dragon Ball: The Breakers, players take on the role of either a “Survivor” or a “Raider.” Survivors — normal citizens who don’t have any superpowers whatsoever — are sucked through a portal and into a “Temporal Seam,” where matches take place. There, they face off against the Raider, who will be played by some of the most infamous characters in all of Dragon Ball history, including Cell, Frieza, and Buu. The goal for the Raider is to defeat all seven of the Survivors, while the Survivors aim to escape by activating the “Super Time Machine.”
