The announcement trailer for Aliens: Fireteam has been released, introducing the next-gen, cooperative third-person survival shooter inspired by the Alien franchise. Set in the Alien universe, the game drops your fireteam of hardened marines into a desperate fight to contain the Xenomorph threat. The title is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Steam in summer 2021.
Additionally, the Alien franchise is also further expanding into the comic book realm as the cinematic horror icon makes its Marvel Comics debut in Alien #1. The new comic, promising that no one is safe, no one is innocent, and no one can hear you scream, will arrive on March 24 with a cover by InHyuk Lee. In Aliens: Fireteam, gamers will play a pivotal role in the epic events that occur 23 years after the original Alien trilogy as a Colonial Marine stationed aboard the USS Endeavor, battling terrifying Xenomorph threats. You will face overwhelming odds against over 20 enemy types, including 11 different Xenomorphs along with the evolutionary scale from Facehuggers to Praetorians, each designed with their own intelligence to ambush, outsmart, and eviscerate vulnerable marines.

In the game, you’ll be able to choose from five unique classes — Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, and Recon — each with their own special abilities and character perks. Utilize an extensive arsenal of 30+ weapons and 70+ mods/attachments in your effort to eradicate the Alien threat.

In Alien #1, fans and newcomers to the legendary horror/science-fiction saga will dive into an all-new tale from writer Phillip Kennedy johnson and artist Salvador Larroca. The new series will introduce readers to Gabriel Cruz who years ago almost literally gave his life to Weyland-Yutani when he barely survived an alien attack. Recently retired, Cruz is trying to patch things up with his abandoned son with the help of his friend, a Bishop-model android, but his re-entry into civilian life is not going smoothly…and his encounters with the deadly Xenomorph are far from over.
