Sony and Microsoft have both announced the slate of January 2018 free games that will be available to subscribing PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members.
PlayStation Plus members will receive the science-fiction action RPG Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and the choose-your-own-adventure game Batman: The Telltale Series for PlayStation 4, the hack-and-slash brawler Sacred 3 and the humorous point-and-click game The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 for PlayStation 3, and the visual novel Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness and the retro puzzle horror game Uncanny Valley for PS Vita and PlayStation 4. You can subscribe to PlayStation Plus via this link.
PlayStation Plus members can also get Starblood Arena as a bonus game starting January 2 through March 6. This arena combat game was built from the ground up to be played in VR with your PS VR headset. Attack, evade, and move in any direction as you compete against pilots from across the galaxy. You’ll fight for glory, credits, and your life.
Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games – two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 – as part of the Games with Gold program. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download the action-RPG The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III for free during the month of January, with the first-person survival horror game ZOMBI available as a free download from January 16th to February 15th. On Xbox 360 (with Xbox One backwards compatibility), the action title Tomb Raider Underworld will be available from January 1st through January 15th and the co-operative shooter Army of Two from January 16th through January 31st. You can subscribe to Xbox Live Gold via this link.
