Next year, 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios will bring us Evolve, an asymmetrical multiplayer game pitting a team of hunters against giant monsters. Among the playable giant monsters are the Goliath, the Kraken, and a third yet-to-be-revealed monster, but a fourth monster is on the horizon and 2k Games is inviting fans to help them pick the name of the beast. Choose between the Juggernaut, Titan, Colossus, and Behemoth, and cast your vote by clicking here.
Players will receive the latest monster for free if they pre-order Evolve as part of the Monster Expansion Pack, which will debut just after launch. Though new characters and monsters will be available as purchasable DLC for Evolve, Turtle Rock Studios’ Creative Director Phil Robb revealed to IGN that new map packs for the game will debut free of charge.
Evolve blends cooperative and competitive multiplayer experiences as a team of four hunters face off against a single, player-controlled monster. Set on an alien planet in the distant future, gamers hunt their prey in adrenaline-pumping 4V1 matches. Players experience Evolve as a first-person shooter when playing cooperatively as the four hunters, while they control the monster in the third-person perspective, providing a gameplay experience unique to Evolve.
Coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 10, 2015, you can read our reaction to playing the game’s demo at this year’s E3 by clicking here.
