NetEase Games is celebrating the holidays with its Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration. The new event begins on December 20, 2024, and introduces new content to the popular superhero shooter.
What new content is coming with the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration event?
The Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration event adds a brand new game mode called Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival. This limited-time 4v4 Arcade Mode pins eight Jeff the Land Sharks against each other as each team tries to color the map. For the Nintendo gamers out there, it essentially looks like Splatoon, but with the popular support character.
New Winter Holiday Special Costumes are introduced with the new Marvel Rivals event. Venom, Groot, Rocket, Magik, and Jeff the Shark all have new cosmetics to celebrate the holidays.
Also coming with the new event is a new Gallery Card customization event. Titled Gallery Card: 2024 Winter Celebration, this will allow players to earn limited-time rewards as they complete tasks. Rewards include items like Jeff the Land Shark’s Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume, nameplate, and spray. Check out the video below to get a peek at the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration event.
Besides the new in-game event, Marvel is launching a new comic series based on NetEase Games’ shooter. Marvel Rivals Infinity is available exclusively on the Marvel Unlimited app right now.
Players who decide to subscribe to Marvel Unlimited between now and December 25, 2024, will get a special little treat for the holidays. Subscribers will receive a special Jeff the Land Shark Unlimited Appetite spray beginning on January 3, 2024. Subscribers should receive the redemption code on the Marvel Unlimited app and in their registered email.
Marvel Rivals just launched a little over a week ago for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It has done incredibly well since its launch. It is currently fourth in top-sellers on Steam and has garnered an all-time peak of over 480,000 players in its launch week.
