Newly Refreshed Xbox Wireless Headset Revealed, Upgrades Detailed

Xbox announced a new refresh for its existing Xbox Wireless Headset. While this will replace the current model, it features several new improvements that enhance a player’s gaming experience.

What’s new with the enhanced Xbox Wireless Headset?

The new Xbox Wireless Headset includes the same features of its predecessor, as well as four key enhancements made to improve the overall headset experience.

Its most notable feature is its built-in support for Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, and DTS Headphone:X. At no additional cost, players can experience the immersive spatial audio technology of Dolby Atmos. The Xbox Wireless Headset also features an improved battery life, with up to 20 hours of playtime. An upgraded microphone is implemented with auto-mute, and voice isolation features. The headset also gets a new redesign meant to complement any gaming set up.

The Xbox Wireless Headset has other features including an extendable mic boom, Bluetooth 5.3 support, and on-ear controls. Players can fine tune their headset preferences with the Xbox Accessories app. Anyone interested in the full tech specs can check them out here.

The new Xbox Wireless Headset is available now in select Xbox markets worldwide including the Microsoft Store. The price is getting a slight increase from $99, to $109.99.

The refreshed headset is not the only accessory getting a new features this year. The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 introduced the new “Cipher Series.” This brings transparent colorways to the enhanced gaming controller.
