A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead Live-Action Trailer Showcases Unique Sound Feature

Saber Interactive and Stormind Games are trying to make the most immersive A Quiet Place game possible with A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead. The latest live-action trailer reveals a new feature that will truly plunge players into the film’s post-apocalyptic world.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead features microphone noise detection

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will feature an optional microphone noise detection option. Enabling the option will turn players’ microphones on, with even the slightest sounds potentially alerting the game’s deadly creatures. The live-action trailer below shows this with the player’s controller vibrating, and the creature swiftly taking them out. So, maybe turn off controller vibration while using the unique sound option.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead tells a brand new story within Paramount Pictures’ popular film franchise. Published by Saber Interactive and developed by Stormind Games, the game tasks players with sneaking through various dilapidated environments to get passed the deadly creatures. Everything players interact with has its own unique sound profile, allowing for a very immersive experience. That immersion gets cranked up with the aforementioned microphone noise detection mode.

“Capturing the frantic terror, unnerving atmosphere and gripping human drama that made the franchise famous, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is designed for fans of the films, horror games, and story-driven adventures alike,” says the official description. “With nothing more than your wits and the simple tools you can scavenge, you’ll have to overcome the many treacherous challenges and obstacles that lie ahead, all while trying to survive the ever-present dangers that lurk all around you.”

“Experience the harrowing journey of Alex, a young college student suffering from asthma and struggling to survive the end of the world alongside her boyfriend, Martin,” says the description of the game’s story. “But the nightmarish creatures stalking the land aren’t the only threat she’ll have to contend with as she travels through the ruins of civilization in search of a safe haven for herself and her family.”

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead launches on October 17, 2024, just in time for the Halloween season. Players can grab it on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for $29.99.
