Nacon, KT racing, and Artefacts Studio announced MXGP 24 The Official Game. Coming in late 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, the new trailer shows off its simulation gameplay.
MXGP 24 brings back the motocross racing franchise
MXGP 24 The Official Game marks the return of the racing game franchise since 2021. According to Nacon and KT Racing, the upcoming motocross game offers a “realistic driving experience” that both newcomers and seasoned veterans can enjoy. On a gameplay level, one way the game attempts to simulate real life is how track conditions are affected by weather, and as bikes ride over it.
MXGP 24 The Official Game features 20 real life championship circuits from around the world. The game will have “numerous” modes allowing players to compete in races alone or online. A career mode is also available, giving players the opportunity to experience what it takes to make it in the MXGP. Players will also have access to jerseys of different riders in the MX2 and MXGP categories.
“The official MXGP game is back, offering fans of motocross racing the thrills and emotions of a real racer,” says the game’s press release. “The first opus in a series signed until 2028, MXGP 24 The Official Game takes players to the heart of the world’s most emblematic championship, as close to reality as possible.”
This is not the first racing game Nacon and KT Racing are launching together this year. In September, the duo released Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, the first game in the series since 2012. It is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Nacon has also released several simulation style sports games this year. Tiebreaker is a tennis game that allows players to forge their career in the ATP and WTA. Rugby 25 launched in early access on PC in June, giving players the “ultimate rugby video game experience.”
