Cal Kestis’ story is coming to an end. It is confirmed Respawn is currently working on Star Wars Jedi 3, and it will conclude the trilogy.
Star Wars Jedi 3 is the final chapter for Cal Kestis
As reported by VGC, at the EA’s investor relations day, president of EA Entertainment and Technology Laura Miele acknowledges the series’ success, and its impact on Star Wars fans.
“We have delivered some of the highest quality and best-selling Star Wars games of all-time, with over $5 billion in net bookings,” Miele said. “This impressive track record includes of course the Star Wars Jedi games, where over 40 million Star Wars fans have connected with Cal Kestis and his arc of becoming a powerful Jedi.”

Miele then confirms Star Wars Jedi 3 is in the works at Respawn, and is the final chapter for Cal Kestis.
“Respawn is working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players,” says Miele.
Star Wars Jedi 3 was unofficially confirmed through job postings last year. A formal announcement for the new entry has not been revealed yet.
EA did announce a round of layoffs earlier this year after Respawn’s Star Wars first-person shooter was canceled. The publisher wants to focus on the Jedi series, and projects based on its own brands.
The Star Wars Jedi series has done fairly well critically. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has a 79 on Metacritic. Its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has an 85.
In our review, Michael Leri gave Star Wars Jedi: Survivor a 6.5 out of 10. “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a Padawan that was destined to be a Jedi Master with its next installment because of the solid base Respawn established,” says Leri. “But instead of realizing its potential, Survivor squandered it by repeating many of the same problems and introducing new ones.”
