Lost in Random Sequel Revealed, Launches 2025

Swedish developer Thunderful announced a Lost in Random sequel is coming to all modern platforms. The expected release date for the rogue-lite is sometime next year.

What is the Lost in Random sequel?

Officially titled Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, this sequel is a rogue-lite action game featuring isometric combat. It stars Aleksandra, formerly the Queen of Random, and her companion Fortune trapped inside the Eternal Die by the Storyteller. Players will traverse randomly generated levels to collect treasure improving their chances of escaping the labyrinth.

The Lost in Random sequel features random-infused runs, challenging players to adapt to the twists and turns the game has to offer. It also features dungeons inspired by classic tabletop games.

“Over the years, we’ve seen how Lost in Random has resonated with players worldwide, from its captivating story to its creative combat within a world of wonder and excitement,” says Game Director, Martin Storm. “We’ve been thinking about how to build upon this world and we decided to create an action-packed, random-infused rogue-lite, upping the stakes and the speed to create a whole new gameplay experience.”

Thunderful was founded in 2017. Since opening its studios, it has developed and published numerous games such as Lego Bricktales, and Viewfinder. Most notably, they are responsible for the critically acclaimed Steamworld games. Their most recent release is Steamworld Heist 2 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Lost in Random originally released in 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Zoink and published by Electronic Arts, the action-adventure game stars Even as she attempts to save her sister Odd from the Queen of Random.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die launches next year for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players can add it their Steam wishlist now.
