Following several leaks that claimed the Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date would be later this year, BioWare has finally confirmed when the game will arrive on PC and consoles through a brand-new trailer. The game’s arrival will mark nearly ten years since the appearance of the franchise’s last installment, Dragon Age: Inquisition.
What is the Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date?
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on October 31, 2024, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. On the same day, EA Play Pro members will be able to access the EA Play Pro Edition through the EA App.
As well as the new release date, the trailer gave us a glimpse of the trouble that Rook and his companions will face as they battle corrupt Elven gods and fight for the future of Thedas. We also got the briefest of confirmations that the standard edition and the Deluxe Edition of the game are available to pre-order now.
The standard edition of the game will cost $59.99 on PC or $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition will cost $79.99 on PC or $89.99 on PS5 and Xbox and will include a copy of the game as well as the following digital goodies:
- 6 Weapon Appearances For Rook. Cosmetic Only.
- 1 Warrior Armor Set Appearance For Rook. Cosmetic Only.
- 1 Mage Armor Set Appearance For Rook. Cosmetic Only.
- 1 Rogue Armor Set Appearance For Rook. Cosmetic Only.
- 7 Weapon & 7 Armor Set Appearances For Companions. Cosmetic Only.
Regardless of which edition you choose to pre-order, players will get the Blood Dragon Armor set for the Warrior, Mage, and Rogue classes, a throwback to previous Dragon Age games.
Finally, the BioWare Gear store has new Dragon Age: The Veilguard merchandise available for pre-order. This includes the art book that was one of the sources of the leaked release date, as well as Rook’s Coffer with a variety of game-themed keepsakes, such as a light-up Lyrium dagger.
