Frank West is back, as Capcom has officially announced Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, a completely updated take on the hit 2006 zombie game.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster marks the second time that the Capcom title has been brought forward to newer titles. Unlike 2016’s HD remake, however, this seems like a proper remaster, complete with newer looks to both the game and its main character, Frank West.
A brief teaser trailer for the game was released alongside the announcement, showing an aerial shot of the mall in the fictional town of Willamette, Colorado, that Frank finds himself trapped in. At the end of the trailer, West hops from the helicopter, complete with his camera in hand.

What do we know about Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster?
Currently, no gameplay or any other information is available on what Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will feature. However, it’s likely that the game will stay true to the formula of Dead Rising, and allow players to fight against zombies in whatever ways they see fit.
Originally released in 2006, Dead Rising centered on Frank West, a photojournalist who finds himself trapped in a shopping mall filled with zombies and having to make it 72 hours before being rescued while also trying to find out the cause of the outbreak. The allure of the game, and what made it so popular, is the fact that players can use almost any and everything they can find in the game to try and fend off zombies.
The original game was a hit for Capcom, and led to multiple sequels, the latest of which was 2016’s Dead Rising 4.
